How should I serve it?  Room temperature; open 30 minutes before serving.

Eric describes it:

  • Color: Medium-violet colored, with medium depth and a violet-pink edge.
  • Aromatics: Complex nose of maraschino cherry, black olive, pink peppercorn, and herbs – sage and rosemary.
  • Flavors and texture:  Complex and great mouthfeel, with the black olive married beautifully with raspberry and cherry, supported by good acidity and moderate to medium tannins and a very long finish.  Delicious!

1 Appellation  A wine producing area that is legally recognized by a country.  The definition of each appellation varies, but typically there are standards that must be adhered to for a wine to receive this designation.  Common standards include the types of grapes grown in the area, vineyard practices, and how wine can be made.
